Into every life, a little rain must fall.

I know everyone has to go through hard times sometimes, and I am not disputing that. I know God lets us go through trials to strengthen our character, teach us something, or one of many other reasons. I'm just so tired of the constant struggle Chad and I go through. Four years of this is long enough, I'm really looking forward to SOMETHING settling down.

He took a test for the Portsmouth Fire Department a couple of weeks ago, (the written test, the first in the series of hurdles) and we got his results back. 96%! That makes him in the top 5%. That's amazing - half of the people who took the test got knocked out already. This makes me very excited. If he gets hired at Portsmouth, everything will change, and we will get to move to one of a couple large cities and get out of the boondocks! :)

I'm so out of the loop. I don't even have a clue what's going on in my best friend's life anymore. She and I haven't talked for like three months - that's unreal. We used to talk half a dozen times a day. Not having internet, a phone, or even cable tv has been really difficult - but I need to stop complaining.

The Pathfinder's transmission died a couple of weeks ago, of course. I'm in the process of buying another car, but to make a long story short, it's been ridiculously hard. But we're hoping I will be driving again by the end of the week.

Pray for us please, as we have plenty of unspoken requests. I know back in Jesus and His disciples' day, they didn't have unspoken requests - everyone shared their trials, but this is the internet, and there are many people I don't want knowing anything about my life. I hope everyone is being blessed, and you should comment on here and let me know how you are. :)
