Sooo...fantastic day. I went to the interview about the new job this morning, and I got hired I start orientation tomorrow. Then Chad and I drove down to the next county by the beach and he put in his application for EMS there. We went to a couple of other counties, including our own, for him to apply as well. The good part was, the EMS Director of the beach county knew him right away, as did the coordinator for our county. If they know him by face and name, then he's more likely to get hired. Plus, we're still waiting to hear back from Portsmouth FD (about a week or two more).
But, my best news is yet to come. I enrolled in school this morning! Yep, I've enrolled in CNA classes. They start August 15th and run through October 3rd. By the end of October, God willing, I can have a good job at the hospital I love, doing something I'll hopefully (haha) love, making much better money, then in the spring or fall of next year, I'll start RN classes. By Christmas, Chad and I should be doing so much better - I'm so grateful. It's taken me entirely too long to get my butt in gear about school, but now I have and I'm so excited!
Well, I got about five hours of sleep last night, and had an entirely productive day - so I think I'm due for a quickie nap. I've got a lot to do tonight while Chad's at the fire station (he has some huge meeting with the county directors about the EMS program...things aren't going well around this area lately) so I need to have plenty of energy.

Congrats on enrolling in school! I'm very excited for you. And also very glad to hear that job prospects for Chad are looking encouraging. I will continue to keep the two of you in my prayers.
